Your body is your very first instrument — come explore what it can do!
Your Singing Body is a joyful and imaginative class where children aged 4–8 can explore music-making through movement, voice, and play. We’ll stomp, clap, hum, hop, and sing our way into rhythm and melody — discovering how our bodies can become a playground for sound. The focus is on connection: to our own voices, to our bodies, and to each other.
Each 45-minute class will end with a special 10-minute session where grown-ups are invited to join in and learn a bit of what we’ve been working on, so the music-making can continue at home.
Classes are held in the beautiful setting of Hackhurst Farm (just 10–15 minutes from TMP). Caregivers are asked to remain on-site — a tea station will be available while the children are in class. We’re offering this as a soft-launch half-term series as we shape the format together — come be part of something new!
Your Body Is Your First Instrument.
-
You are born musical.
Understanding your body as your first instrument lays the foundation for lifelong musical development. It nurtures a deep sense of self-trust and expression, allowing children to claim their musical birthright with confidence and joy — not by imitating, but by discovering the music that lives in them.
-
Before words, you had rhythm.
It’s the heartbeat of music — and of us. When children feel rhythm in their bodies, they develop timing, coordination, and focus. But more than that, rhythm grounds them. It helps them regulate emotions, connect with others, and express themselves with clarity and confidence — in music and in life.
